It is what the photo is "written" on. It is the canvas for the photographic artist. The sensitivity, color variety, speed and kind of movie identifies the artists feelings and completion outcome. Ansel Adams, one of the best photographers of our times, utilized mainly black and white and big format electronic cameras using movie sheets and plates. The excellent Annie Leibovitz, utilizes 35mm movie almost exclusively and is among the premier movie photographers in America today.
